A study shows that AI access reduces people’s willingness to say “I don’t know.” More than 3,000 participants were tested, and the rate of “I don’t know” responses fell from 44 % to 3 % when AI answers were available, even though the AI was often wrong. Users felt more confident but were correct only about a third as often as those who did not use AI.
