What it does

Datadog's MCP server lets an assistant search metrics, logs, traces, and alerts — so observability data is reachable in the chat for incident investigation and debugging.

Like any MCP server, Datadog plugs into MCP-compatible assistants (such as Claude and other clients) so the model can use it as a tool — no custom integration code required.
